Deeksha Diwas of KCR’s fast held

Nizamabad: A ‘Deeksha Diwas’ was organised by the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) at the Dharna Chowk here on Tuesday to mark the completion of seven years of TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao’s ‘deekha’ to press the demand for separate Telangana.

Prashant Reddy told the meeting that the Centre had conceded Telangana only because of KCR’s fast. KCR had taken up the ‘deeksha, disregarding a threat to his life’.

Reddy asserted that the State would developed under KCR’s leadership. Mission Bhagiratha Vice-chairman Prashant Reddy, Nizamabad Urban MLA Bigala Ganesh Gupta, Mayor Akula Sujata, TRS district president Ega Ganga Reddy and several party activists were present on the occasion.
