Tibetans in Hyderabad staged a candle light vigil as a mark of protest against the Chinese rule in Tibet on Tibetan uprising day on Sunday. Every year, March 10 is observed as Tibetan Uprising Day. It was way back in 1959 that the Tibetans first protested against Chinese invasion of Tibet. About 45 Tibetans got together in Hyderabad at Indira Park. Tenzin, a protestor said, "We may be few in number in Hyderabad, but wanted to show our solidarity and join our brothers all over the world today. More than 100 Tibetans have given their life for a free Tibet. We want autonomy in Tibet." Another protestor, Chomphel said, "Chinese government is oblivious of the hardships of Tibetans." There are 60 Tibetans in Hyderabad.
