Constable posts to be filled soon: SP
The vacant constable posts in various police stations in the district would be filled by October, District Superintendent of Police Rajakumari said on Saturday. She paid a visit to the Peddemul police station near here to verify the records and pending cases there.

Addressing newsmen, the SP said that one hundred police constables who were presently under training would be posted in the district soon. Referring to the recent murder of two women, she said that the accused have been identified and they would be nabbed soon. On the forthcoming Ganesh festivals, the SP appealed to the people to conduct the festival peacefully with the guidance of the village elders. She said that the permission should not be given to the DJ sound system for the festivals. DSP Ismail, CI Ravi Kumar and SI Raju accompanied the superintendent of police.
