Flying Start to APFA ‘C’ League. Tuesday marked a new beginning for Hyderabad footballers following the commencement of the league after a yawning long gap.
Hyderabad: Tuesday marked a new beginning for Hyderabad footballers following the commencement of the league after a yawning long gap. In order to make the revival a humble one, the refurbished Andhra Pradesh Football Association (APFA) revived the ‘C’ Division structure with the conduct of two matches in separate grounds, one each in Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
The 2014-15 League was given a blazing start by OK Sporting, which ripped apart Young Sporting 4-0 at Hyderabad Sporting grounds after it was inaugurated by Ronald Rose, Additional Commissioner of GHMC.

In the match held at Trimulgherry Village Ground, Cantonment Football Club (Bolaram) cruised ahead with a 1-0 win over Trimulgherry-based Sr Susai XI. The winner was scored in the 25th minute by a long-range shot from Manoj. The Secunderabad leg was inaugurated by veteran international, James Zacharias.
