Karachi: Chairman of the Pakistan's national selection committee Moin Khan has said that Pakistan would have to play a fearless but sensible cricket in order to thrive in the upcoming World Cup.

The former wicketkeeper batsman said that limited-overs cricket had undergone a lot of changes in the last decade and hence Pakistan would have to play sensible but fearless cricket to do well in the World Cup, the Dawn reported.

According to Khan, they have picked young and exciting players like Umar Akmal, Sohaib Maqsood, Haris Sohail, Sarfraz Ahmed, Sohail Khan or Yasir Shah keeping in mind the conditions there and to blend well with the seniors like Hafeez, Younis and Misbah, the report added.

The ICC's pinnacle tournament is scheduled to be jointly held by Australia and New Zealand from February 14.
