Ahmed scalps eight
Syed Ahmed’s eight wickets helped Cambridge XI beat MP Colts by eight wickets in the Hyderabad Cricket Association A1 Division three-day league championship. Batting first, MP Colts was restricted to 227 runs in the first innings. Opener Harsh Jhunjhunwala scored 50 runs.
Hyderabad: Syed Ahmed’s eight wickets helped Cambridge XI beat MP Colts by eight wickets in the Hyderabad Cricket Association A1 Division three-day league championship. Batting first, MP Colts was restricted to 227 runs in the first innings. Opener Harsh Jhunjhunwala scored 50 runs.
Ahmed scalped five wickets for 47 runs in 18.1 overs. In reply, Cambridge scored 342 runs. Trailing by 114 runs Cambridge were all out for 219 runs in the second innings. Ahmed took three wickets for 13 runs. Cambridge reached the target for the loss of two wickets.
