New Delhi: Satyabhama University in Chennai will come alive to basketball action when fourth season of UBA Pro Basketball League gerts underway on Thursday.

A fascinating spectacle this time around will be the participation of ten Americans, who will represent the eight teams in fray for coveted honours in the event that concludes on March 1.

The eight teams include Mumbai Challengers, Delhi Capitals, Haryana Gold and Punjab Steelers in the North Division while the South category will feature Chennai Slam, Pune Peshwas, Bengaluru Beast and Hyderabad Sky.

Adding spice to the affair will be Americans Ron March, Pierre Newton, Tevin Kelly, Mak Boskailo, De'Sean Mattox, Jimmy Scroggins, Brendan Pineda-Morales and Dermaine Crockrell, Chris Solomon and Alex Scales.

In the opening day fixtures Hyderabad Sky take on Pune Peshwas while Bengaluru Beast clash with Chennai Slam.

According to Michael Yanke CMO of United Basketball Alliance, “Chennai holds immense potential to serve as the new basketball hub in India. The American players will bring in the crowds this season.”

Ten Sports network channels will beam the matches live.
