I can't wait for this fruit to come into season. I actually start counting the days and once they are available in the market I tend to eat one bowl of strawberries every morning. It is irresistible to almost everyone. This fruit is extremely low in calories and has a large amount of nutritious qualities as well.Though you can eat strawberries by adding them in a number of foods, it is most beneficial if you eat them raw. This berry is a powerhouse of antioxidants which protect the cells in our body from the damage caused by free radicals. They also protect us from heart disease, stroke, atherosclerosis, inflammation and boost our immunity. This is due to the presence of vitamin C in it. Vitamin C also helps to clean the cells from within, thus giving your skin a glow and your hair some luster. Vitamin C, being an antioxidant, also makes the strawberry a powerful cancer-fighting fruit. They contain more vitamin C than even citrus fruits! Strawberries contain a plethora of other nutrients! The potassium in them helps to lower the blood pressure. They even contain vitamin K which is crucial for facilitating blood clotting. Ingredients: Strawberries 10 Dates 4 Water 30 ml Apple 1 Pineapple 1 Method: a Mix strawberries, dates and water and blend it to smooth syrup. a Cut the apple and pineapple into big cubes. a Mix apple and pineapple in a big bowl. a Pour the strawberry syrup over the fruits. a Chill and serve.
