Washington: For those in the US battling the major winter storm and those who are simply bored, can take Google Street View's virtual tour to tropical paradise, Hawaii and enjoy the sunny beaches while sitting home.The search giant recently added thousands of 360-degree panoramic images of five landmasses in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands.
According to Mashable, images of the five remote islands, Tern Island and East Island at French Frigate Shoals, Laysan Island, Lisianski Island, and Pearl and Hermes Atoll, cover 20 miles located within the Hawaiian Islands National Wildlife Refuge.

For the virtual mapping project, Google was assisted by a couple of US government agencies staffers, including the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the US Fish and Wildlife Service.
The report said that the images, captured by staff members who ventured out on foot wearing theStreet View Trekker, show white-sand beaches, nearly abandoned by all but birds and other wildlife.
