Fight against Polavaram at national level: CPM, The CPM state secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram said that they would fight against the construction of Polavaram project at national-level.
Warangal: The CPM state secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram said that they would fight against the construction of Polavaram project at national-level. He participated in an extended meeting of the party district committee held at Charbowli in Warangal on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Veerabhadram came down heavily on Congress and TDP for their double standard policy on Polavaram project. He made it clear that the CPM would extend its complete support if the state government takes up legal battle against the Polavaram project. He advised the state government not to embroil in controversy on nativity issue for implementing fee reimbursement scheme. He said that the CPM welcomes the government’s decision to implement fee reimbursement scheme only to Telangana students. “It is difficult to implement 1956 as cut-off year for deciding nativity of a student as it would create lot of hurdles,” he added. He asked the state government to reconsider its decision of taking 1956 as cut-off year.
