KCR slams Times of India over baseless sensational news reports

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao addressed the media today to reveal the government's plan for the development of state. But just as he was about to conclude his speech, his focus shifted to a report that appeared in Times of India today.

The report published in TOI today talks about how KCR has sidelined Etela while preparing the state's maiden budget. The report said KCR is calling the shots and Etela's role will only be to read the budget speech. The budget will be presented in the first week of September.

This article drew flak from Telangana's first chief minister, who termed the article as rubbish. He said budget was not a one man's work, it was team work and has to be worked upon by consulting several concerned ministers. Thus the report is false and rubbish, he said.

He slammed TOI saying such sensational headlines would only send wrong signals and asked them to exercise restraint.

In the end, KCR said: "I request the media to work in co-ordination with the government to make the state better."
