Zaheerabad: Development of Telangana could be achieved if the police department was strengthened, Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy has said.

Talking to newsmen at the R&B Guest House here on Friday, the home minister said that the policing would be systematised to make their services available immediately whenever a crime took place. “State-art-of-the-art special vehicles with modern equipment would be provided to the police in this regard,” he added. Referring to the power shortage in the state of Telangana, he held the erstwhile TDP and Congress rule for the plight. Expressing regret over the lathi charge against the farmers who were demanding power supply, he said that the police should not do like that.
