Hyderabad: The Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday demanded that the Telangana government convene the Assembly session without further delay and apart from passing the budget, it should discuss various issues like the power situation in the State, delay in implementing loan waiver scheme, fee reimbursement, spread of viral fever, deteriorating law and order situation etc.

BJP MLA K Laxman, in a letter to Governor ESL Narsimhan, on Saturday urged him to take note of the pending issues and sought his intervention in finding a solution to these problems.

He has also requested the Governor to validate the Vote on Account and to act appropriately to ensure validity for the expenditure of the government that includes the salary of the employees and other welfare schemes.

As the Telangana government is not showing any interest in convening the Assembly session, he asked the Governor to see that the Assembly was convened immediately. The leader of Opposition K Jana Reddy (Congress) also wrote a letter to the Governor asking him to see that the assembly session was convened immediately.
