Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had a long meeting with Governor ESL Narsimhan on Friday when he discussed several issues relating to bifurcation of the state.

According to sources, Rao has discussed issues like division of the institutions mentioned in the ninth and tenth schedules in the AP Reorganisation Act. He urged the Governor to see that the bifurcation of various organisations be completed at the earliest. Rao was said to have told the Governor that since the first budget session of the Telangana Assembly would be conducted in October, the Governor should accept the expenditure statement for two months. KCR reportedly raised the issue of delay in allocation of AIS officers. He told the Governor how his government was eagerly waiting for completion of the process so that the governance could be put on fast forward mode.

During his recent visit to Delhi, Rao called on Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and raised subjects including additional powers to Governor and other pending issues with regard to AP Reorganisation Act. This issue figured during the meeting with the Governor, said the sources.
