New Delhi: Telangana State government made its intentions clear about empowering private agencies in issues pertaining to driving license, fitness certificate and registration of vehicles. The Government stated that it may lead to misuse in the absence of an effective control by the state government.



Telangana transport minister Mahender Reddy said that such actions would create problems for smaller states. Speaking on Road and Safety Bill 2014, Mr Reddy opined that measures must be initiated to strengthen state mechanism for better control of vehicles, instead of repealing the existing Motor Vehicle Act 1988.
