Hyderabad: Telangana State government on Saturday allotted 1,031 acres of land to establish 4 X 270 MW thermal power projects in Khammam district. The projects are being taken up jointlywith Telangana government. In next three years they are adding 6,000 mw of power to the existing power generation

The order said the land to an extent of 1031.19 acres of government/ assigned/shikam land had been allotted near Ramanujavaram village of Manuguru mandal and Edullabayyaram and Seetharampuram villages of Pinapaka mandal in Khammam district.
The government would appoint new Joint Collector as project administrator for that District.The collector has to look over the people of Rehabilitation, Resettlement Policy and Displaced Families.The new scheme would be implemented for Rehabilitation and Resettlement People the Act of 2013.
