Warangal: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is scheduled to visit Warangal district on Monday to conduct aerial survey of the demarcated area for the proposed ring road and to hold review meet on works related to Textile Park. In all, he would spend five hours here.

The Chief Minister is also expected to review arrangements for Kakatiya Festival scheduled to be held next month, apart from reviewing other development projects such as Mission Kakatiya and industrial corridor in Warangal district. He would also visit Chintagattu and Jayagiri villages where the Textile Park is proposed to be set up.

He will be accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister T Rajaiah, Minister A Chandu Lal and local legislators. This is the second visit of Chandrashekar Rao to the district during this month. Overall, this is Rao’s third visit to Warangal district after he assumed charge as the Chief Minister.

Earlier on September 9 he attended Kaloji Jayanthi and he participated in Komuravelli Jatara on December 21.

In view of the Chief Minister’s visit, the district administration and police department are fully geared up. A temporary helipad has been readied at University Arts College grounds in Hanamkonda and police deployment was made on Sunday itself at different places where the Chief Minister is expected to visit.

Deputy Chief Minister Rajaiah chaired a meeting with MPs K Srihari and A Seetaram Naik, MLAs, District Collector G Kishan, Joint Collector Pausumi Basu and other district officials on Saturday to review the arrangements for KCR’s visit.

He told the district officials to come prepared for the Chief Minister’s Monday review meeting with complete information on the ongoing and proposed development and welfare programmes. The details of land required and the land available for ring road will be presented during the meeting, he said.

The Collector told the officials of the Roads and Buildings Department and National Highway Authority to put up flags covering the proposed ring road stretch thus enabling the Chief Minister to examine it during his aerial survey.

Warangal (West) MLA D Vinay Bhasker said it was being planned to erect a 100-feet tall pylon commemorating Kakatiya Mission at Vaddepalli tank built by Kakatiya rulers in Hanamkonda. The Chief Minister accorded his approval for the proposal.

The bottom line is that various stretches of roads at district headquarters hitherto full of potholes were spruced up and a fresh layer of asphalt has been laid much to the joy of local citizens.
