Tributes paid to Bapu

Rich tributes were paid to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his 67th death anniversary on Friday. Bapu was assassinated by Nathuram Godse on January 30, 1948. Hyderabad: Rich tributes were paid to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his 67th death anniversary on Friday. Bapu was assassinated by Nathuram Godse on January 30, 1948. Governor ESL Narasimhan, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreyya, Deputy CMs Kadiam Srihari and Mahmood Ali, ministers including Nayani Narasimha Reddy, Etala Rajender and T Harish Rao, paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at Bapughat in Langar Houz.
They recalled his services for the Nation and appealed to all people to follow his ideals in their lives. They also participated in the all-religious prayer meeting and observed two-minute silence. Tributes were also paid to Mahatma Gandhi at a programme held in the State Legislative Assembly premises.
