Hyderabad: BJP National Executive member and former minister Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Sunday demanded a probe into the Mission Kakatiya and Water Grid schemes launched by the Telangana State government.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, Janardhan Reddy alleged that experts were not consulted on both the projects and their budgets were being finalised by the private agencies and contractors. He said the officials too have no role in the execution of both the projects of the State government. He also demanded a white paper on the expenditure on both the projects. He said former Deputy Chief Minister T Rajaiah was sacked from the Cabinet on the charges of corruption.

But who would sack the “corrupt ministers” like T Harish Rao and K Tarakarama Rao, he wondered.
The BJP leader alleged that all the works were being sanctioned on nomination basis, he said that the TRS Government was resorting to waste of public money.

Speaking about the government's decision to Chest Hospital at Erragadda to Viqarabad, Janardhan Reddy said the hospital was converted into a General Hospital in 1996 during his tenure as the Health Minister. He said it was illogical to shift a general hospital outside Hyderabad as hundreds of patients visiting the hospital would face problems. He urged all political parties to join hands to launch mega protest against the government's move.

Referring to the Chief Minister's comments during his visit to Monda Market on Saturday, he said said “Hyderabad is already a World Class City.” He advised the Chief Minister not to spoil the image of Hyderabad by giving irresponsible statements.
