District Superintendent of Police S Chandrasekar Reddy gave away the Pratibha Puraskar Prize and commendation certificate on Tuesday to M Riddhi, a six-year- old girl studying in the second class at Indrani school in the city of Nizamabad.

Nizamabad: District Superintendent of Police S Chandrasekar Reddy gave away the Pratibha Puraskar Prize and commendation certificate on Tuesday to M Riddhi, a six-year- old girl studying in the second class at Indrani school in the city of Nizamabad. She participated in the two-day All India dance competitions which were held at the Thyagaraya Gana Sabha in Hyderabad between February 15 and 16. Around 200 dancers from all parts of the country took part in the competition.

Riddhi is the daughter of M Rattan Kumar, a junior assistant working in the Nizamabad police department. In his address, the Superintendent of Police expressed his happiness that Riddhi had brought laurels to the district and hoped that the children of the police would win more medals and prizes in future. He said the district police department would provide all facilities to train children of the police personnel to exhibit their talent.

Riddhi’s father Rattan Kumar and mother Ramadevi were present on the occasion.
