Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Brahmotsavams to begin today

Nalgonda: District Collector Satyanarayana Reddy on Thursday instructed the officials of different departments to make all arrangements for conduct of Yadagirigutta Sri Lakshmi Narsimha Swamy Brahmotsavams on a grand scale. The Brahmotsavams begin on Friday and conclude on March 2.

The District Collector has reviewed the arrangements for the Brahmotsavams with the officials concerned in his chamber at Collectorate.

Speaking at the meeting, he said that the Brahmotsavams, which are going to be conducted for the first time in a separate State of Telangana, would be organised in a grand manner.

He suggested that all the departments should work in coordination and complete the arrangements for the festival.

Underlining the need to maintain cleanliness on and down the hill shrine, he instructed the officials to depute more number of sanitary workers for Brahmotsavams.

The sanitary workers were instructed to work round-the-clock in different shifts. He asked the temple authorities and Panchayat Raj department officials to work in coordination with each other on sanitation works.

He also directed the officials of Rural Water Supply department to take steps to provide drinking water facilities to the devotees. SP Dr T Prabhakar Reddy informed that the police department has already prepared a plan to ensure foolproof security arrangements for the Brahmotsavams.

Joint Collector N Satyanarayana, District Revenue Officer Ravi Naik, Bhongir RDO Madhusudhan and DM&HO also attended the meeting.
