Nirmal (Adilabad): Minister for Endowments, Law and Housing A Indrakaran Reddy launched the prestigious programme of the Telangana State government to develop lakes and tanks, “Mission Kakatiya”, at Ellapelli village of Nirmal mandal in the district on Sunday.Speaking on the occasion, he said that 790 tanks were selected for development under the first phase of the programme.
The Minister said that the tanks would be cleaned up by removing the wild growth of weeds and de-silting would be taken up. He told the officials to monitor the development of tanks and called upon the villagers to come forward and involve themselves in the process of developing lakes and tanks.
