Hyderabad: After facing the wrath of the unemployed over the issue of job notifications, the Telangana Chief Minister’s Office has reportedly dashed off letters to the departments to furnish the details with regard to vacancy positions. According to the sources, the CMO has asked the departments to submit the report in a week. The government’s decision comes in after hundreds of unemployed youth took out rallies and protested against indifferent attitude of the government over releasing job notification.

The major hurdle for release of job notifications was the distribution of the employees between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The Kamalanathan Committee which was constituted for employees’ division is expected to give its final report in October. Only after the Committee submits its report, number of vacancies can be ascertained, sources said.

Another obstacle was the regularisation of the contract workers. While the contract workers demand the TRS government to fulfill their poll promise, unemployed youth object to regularisation as rule of reservation was not followed during the recruitment process. Bowing to the pressure from the government job aspirants, the government had constituted a committee for making guidelines for regularisation of contract workers and report of the committee is yet to get a final shape.
