On Wednesday, on the outskirts of Karimnagar at Thegalaguttappalli village, four medical students lost their lives as their car rammed into an RTC bus. The deceased were identified as Phirangi Navakanth, 20, from Parkal in Warangal, Rachuri Rahul, 20, from Bodduppal in Hyderabad, Gorre Nani, 21, Devikonda village in Karimangar and Mahesh Naik, 20, Acchampet in Mahaboobnagar.


Karimnagar rural SI L. Srinivas said that all of them were studying MBBS II year at the Pratima Institute of Medical Sciences located at Nagunur near Karimanagar. The students who were returning after attending classes in the car collided with the bus at a curve near the village, resulting in the death of the four medicos instantly.


A case has been filed against the driver of the bus, Srinivas Reddy, for negligent driving.
