Hyderabad: The Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTAPCCI) and Jeedimetla Effluent Treatment Ltd., jointly organised a seminar on ‘Solid and Hazardous Waste Management – Best Practices’ on Thursday at Federation House here.

B Janardhan Reddy, IAS, Commissioner & Director, Municipal Administration, Telangana said the two bin culture will support to recycling of industrial waste and household waste management with the scientific methodology. The Telangana government is dedicated to develop waste management recycling plants across big towns and mandal villages across the State, he said.

He further added that recently Telangana government started a solid waste management plant at Karimnagar and it was working with 50 per cent success ratio. Through this recycling plant, power is generated and solid agricultural fertilisers which are developed through the plant are being sold to the farmers at a very reasonable price. “By December 2015, we will develop solid waste management plants across major towns of Telangana,” he said.
