Four children drown in Veleru tank

Warangal: Four minor children allegedly drowned in a tank and were killed at Veleru village in Dharmasagar mandal in Warangal district on Sunday.The deceased were identified as K Charan Reddy (12), K Revanth Reddy (13) of Veleru village, P Teja Reddy (13) and T Cheran Reddy (13) of Hyderabad. Teja and Charan of Hyderabad have come to their grand-mothers home to spend their summer holidays.

They were all studying eighth standard. They were said to have went for a swim in a tank near the village and drowned. The incident came to light during late evening hours when the family started searching for the children. The local police booked a case in connection with the incident. A pall of gloom descended on the village following the death of the kids. A sense of fear gripped among the chldren of the village.
