Congress seeks regularisation of contract staff. Former MP Ponnam Prabhakar demanded that the State government regularise the services of contract employees working in the electricity department.

Karimnagar: Former MP Ponnam Prabhakar demanded that the State government regularise the services of contract employees working in the electricity department. Prabhakar visited the electricity outsourcing employees’ relay hunger strike camp at SE office on Tuesday and extended his support to the agitating workers by sitting in the strike camp.
Speaking on the occasion, he said before elections Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had promised to regularise the services of all the employees those who were working on contract basis in the Telangana, but forgotten his assurance after coming to power.
He wanted the government to make its stand clear on regularising the services of contract employees working in all departments. Outsourcing employees under the aegis of Electricity Contract Employees JAC have been agitating for the last nine days.
