Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao met Governor ESL Narasimhan here on Thursday. During his one hour interaction, he thanked the Governor for his active participation in Swachh Hyderabad programme. Besides Swachh Hyderabad, the Chief Minister is learnt to have discussed about the vacant MLC seat under Governor’s Quota and government’s choice for the seat.

During his one hour interaction, he thanked the Governor for his active participation in Swachh Hyderabad programme. Besides Swachh Hyderabad, the Chief Minister is learnt to have discussed about the vacant MLC seat under Governor’s Quota and government’s choice for the seat.


KCR loyalist Prof Srinivas Reddy is likely to get the nod as he narrowly missed out on nomination under MLA quota. The related file would be sent to Governor Office after approval of the State Cabinet.Further, Rao is understood to have discussed about contentious issues between the two States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, including the recent NIT seats row. Grapevine has it that Rao informed Narasimhan about the government’s decision to implement court verdict on Parliament Secretaries.

The upcoming State Formation Day fete and government’s arrangements also learnt to have figured in their discussions. Rao is also said to have briefed him about government’s observations on successful completion of the programme and his intention to hold another round of the mass cleaning drive.
