ASP laments rise in alcohol consumption
District Additional Superintendent of Police Malla Reddy lamented that several people in the district were getting addicted to liquor and committing heinous crimes. Speaking to the media here on Saturday, he bemoaned that the drunkards were murdering their own family members under the influence of alcohol.

Giving examples, ASP Malla Reddy said in Darur mandal, one person killed his own mother in an intoxicated state while a person killed his father on some silly issue in another case. A man murdered his wife in Guttu mandal when she refused to serve him food. The police arrested him and sent him for remand, he informed.
Malla Reddy said four murders took place in four different places in the district and all of them were committed under the influence of alcohol. He advised people not to get addicted to alcohol.
