Hyderabad: The Telangana State government has decided to serve a notice on the Nestle for misleading information on the Maggi label, saying that there was “no added MSG.” Principal Secretary for Health Suresh Chanda said here on Tuesday the Maggi package label contained a print line that said “no added MSG.”

But the State Food Laboratory had found the presence of MSG in six samples. The content of “lead” was, however, at normal level. The laboratory had received 60 samples of Maggie from both Telangana State and Andhra Pradesh. The Lab has a capacity to test daily nine to ten samples, the principal secretary said.
