School buses in Hyderabad unsafe

The Road Transport Authority with its ongoing raids on school buses is witnessing a large number of non- compliance cases and has booked 17 school buses for not having the mandatory fire extinguishers in the buses during the ongoing special drive against school buses conducted across the city.

Joint Transport Commissioner, T. Raghunath said that 66 buses have been booked on various offenses, 29 lack of fitness, 17 for not having fire extinguishers and others for minor offenses.
