Under Schedule IX of the AP Reorganisation Act, Telangana employees working in 90 common PSUs on Wednesday issued an ultimatum for the bifurcation of staff, assets and liabilities to take place between TS and AP by July 31. Issuing a warning to go indefinite strike from August 1, the employees alleged that the boards comprising AP officials were deliberately blocking bifurcation while the officials were diverting bank deposits worth billions of these companies to AP.

Chairman of Telangana Public Sector Employees Federation, S. Vijaya Mohan stated that even though the Act prescribed a deadline of one year which ended on June 2, 2015, the boards of these PSUs dominated by Andhra officials are stalling bifurcation and are taking up fresh recruitments to help AP locals. He alleged that AP officials intend to divert to bank accounts in AP without consulting the Telangana government as the PSUs like Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation, the Andhra Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation etc consists of assets and bank deposits worth thousands of crores.

Mr Mohan stated that as the AP officials were violating Article 371(D) along with the Presidential Order on fresh recruitments and promotions, so the TS government intends to put pressure on the Centre to ensure the speedy bifurcation of these PSUs.
