Hyderabad: Even after passage of six months since Telangana Rashtra Samithi kick-started the exercise to rejig the organisational structure, the ruling party is yet to constitute politburo, State and District committees.

It has turned out to be an endless wait for several leaders aspiring key party posts. TRS supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is, however, busy focussing his attention on administrative matters for the last few months and unable to devote time for party affairs.

It may be mentioned here that ruling party constituted village and mandal level committees besides finalising 10 district presidents before the all-important plenary and Formation Day meeting held in last week of April. However, there has been no activity on party front ever since.

It is learnt that strength of politburo is likely to be between 15 and 20 while that of state committee could be between 40 and 60. Also pending is constitution of party affiliation committees which includ BC, SC, ST, Women, Minority and Youth among others. On the other hand, TRS district units are functioning without committees.

There is president for every district but he is handicapped without members like vice-president, general secretary, joint secretary to help him in party affairs. Like at the state level, there are no affiliation committees even in districts.

It is learnt that various district presidents did home work on who should be accommodated in district panels and are ready with lists which needs final approval of the president. The district committee strength is likely to be 30 and that of 10 affiliation committees will be 30 to 33 members each.

KCR is directly monitoring government flagship schemes like Mission Kakatiya and Haritha Haaram. Hence, it is understandable that he could not devote much time for party matters, party sources said.
