Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has directed Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma for safe release of Telugu hostages in Libya.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has directed Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma for safe release of Telugu hostages in Libya. Following, KCR’s directive, the Chief Secretary has written to the Union Foreign Affairs department appealing to the Centre to take initiative to hold talks with Libya government for freeing of the victims.


The Chief Minister has already appealed to the Centre and addresses a letter to External Affairs Ministry seeking immediate release of Prof. Balram Kishan of Hyderabad and Gopi Krishna of Andhra Pradesh from the clutches of alleged ISIS terrorist group.


The wife of Balram Krishnan met the Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya to get her husband released from the ISIS kidnappers while the family members of Gopi Krishna met AP Minister Achchan Naidu.
