Karimnagar: Incessant rainfall forced the Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to postpone his visit to Chinna Mulkanoor village of Chigurumamidi mandal in the district scheduled to be held on Wednesday. According to the revised schedule, the Chief Minister is likely to tour in the village on August 22.

There was a continuous drizzling in the village wherein KCR was scheduled to clear the garbage as part of Sramadanam programme. Two bulls also died due to lightning on Tuesday morning. Cattle owner Shankaraiah was highly disappointed as animals worth Rs 70,000 perished in the rains.

On the other hand, continues downpour during the last 12 hours brought happiness on the faces of farmers who were eagerly waiting for rain water for their standing crops. A major portion of the standing crops, especially maize and others withered away due to lack of water supply.
