Nizamabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Friday red-handedly caught the Nizamabad District Registrar K Mohan while taking a bribe of Rs 60,000 from a land owner at the District Registrar’s office.

According to the ACB DSP Surender Reddy, Srinivas Rao is a native of Bhiknoor mandal and purchased agriculture land few days back at Bhiknoor. When he went to register his land, the registration officials objected to register his land under agriculture sector and wanted to register it under commercial sector. Srinivas Rao opposed the decision of the registration officials.

Later, District Registrar Mohan approached him and demanded sixty thousand rupees bribe. But Srinivas Rao did not intend to give bribe and complained to the ACB officials. The ACB officials caught the District Registrar K Mohan red-handedly at his office and registered a case against him.
