Hyderabad: In a major relief to Telangana TDP leader Revanth Reddy, the Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday relaxed the conditions in his bail and allowed him to go anywhere in the country, including Hyderabad.

This effectively removes the ban on his moving out of his constituency of Kodangal in Mahbubnagar in connection with the 'cash-for-vote' case.

In his petition, Revanth Reddy sought relaxations on the bail conditions which confined him to his constituency. Revanth Reddy,

main accused in the case, was arrested on May 31 this year by the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau on the charges of trying to bribe nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson to vote in favour of TDP nominee in Vem Narendra in the MLC elections.

He was released on conditional bail on June 30. Revanth Reddy filed a petition before the High Court seeking relaxations on the grounds that being an elected representative he needs to visit Hyderabad to attend to public and party works. Further, he said he also needs to travel to different places in view of his daughter's marriage.

After hearing his plea, the High Court relaxed the conditions and permitted him to travel out of his constituency. The court also directed Revanth Reddy to present himself before the ACB office on every Monday.
