Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Sarbananda Sonowal will be inaugurating one-day Youth Convention on ‘Universal Brotherhood Day’ at RTC Kalabhavan in Baghlingampally here on Friday.

Hyderabad: Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Sarbananda Sonowal will be inaugurating one-day Youth Convention on ‘Universal Brotherhood Day’ at RTC Kalabhavan in Baghlingampally here on Friday.

Around 2,000 youth delegates representing NSS (National Service Scheme), NYKS (Nehru Yuvaka Kendra Sangathan) and SAI (Sports Authority of India) would be participating at the day-long event, said Rishipal Singh, Zonal Director, NYKS.

Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya, Union Secretary Rajiv Gupta, Telangana Youth Services Minister T Padma Rao, Musheerabad MLA Dr K Lakshman, NSS Director General Dilawar Singh and other senior officials would take part in the inaugural function.

The meeting would be presided by NYKS vice-chairman Perala Shekar Rao. Swami Srikhantananda of Ramakrishna Mutt, Hyderabad, would deliver key note address emphasising the message delivered by Swami Vivekananda on September 11, 1893 at World Parliament of Religions held in Chicago and the life and message of Swami Vivekananda for youth.

In the post-lunch session, the most renowned trainer and Retd IPS Officer Shailja Kant Misra will deliver a talk on ‘Social Responsibilities-Role of Youth.’ While Mallesh Annamaina, corporate trainer and psychologist, would address on ‘Physical Fitness, Yoga and Health.’

The NYK District Youth Coordinator R Venkatesham would be making power point presentation cum lecture on ‘Flagship Programmes and New Initiatives of Union Government.’
