Hyderabad: A two-judge bench of the High Court at Hyderabad on Saturday reserved its verdict on the stay petition filed in a writ petition challenging the action of the government in reverting to 150 wards for the ensuing GHMC elections.

The bench of Justice Nooty Ram Mohan Rao and Justice Anis heard at length the writ plea complaining that in April 2008 the government had proposed 175 wards for a population of 40 lakh. Now the government was reducing the wards to 150 against a stated population of 67 lakh.
