The bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Dilip B Bhosale and Justice S Ravi Kumar was dealing with a public interest writ petition filed by G Krishna Reddy.

The petitioner complained that private individuals had illegally occupied about 24 acres of land belonging to the government in the area and were illegally constructing warehouses. He complained that the government officials remained mute and took no actions in spite of repeated complaints. The bench ordered the stay and adjourned the matter after 4 weeks.
