They sought protection to tribal women folk left in the Thanda after killing of as many 80 men belonging to the Thanda in road accidents while attempting to cross the highway and to direct the authorities to construct a subway near the village.

Ms Sailaja, manager of NHAI informed the court that there was an underpass available for the residents of the Thanda to cross the highway and as per the details available with them only 19 men of Thanda had lost their lives in road accidents.
