Reacting to rude comments against Bollywood star Aamir Khan, senior Congress leader and former Union Minister S. Jaipal Reddy here on Thursday said the “actor need not issue any clarification as he has carved a unique niche for himself by playing patriotic and constructive roles in his films.”

Jaipal Reddy here on Thursday said the “actor need not issue any clarification as he has carved a unique niche for himself by playing patriotic and constructive roles in his films.”
In a statement, Jaipal Reddy stated, “Wild comments on Aamir Khan were shocking but not surprising. They are in conformity with the fanatical culture of BJP and Sangh Parivar. I admire Kiran Rao for expressing her genuine disgust with the prevailing climate of intolerance in the country.”
“It is instructive to recall that even before Narendra Modi became Prime Minister, Anantha Murthy, Gyanpeeth award winner of Karnataka, had said he would quit India in case Narendra Modi became Prime Minister. The worst fears of Anantha Murthy have come true. The feelings of Kiran Rao are therefore legitimate and natural. Every liberal should laud Aamir Khan’s courage of conviction”, he added.
