Mudigonda (Khammam): Farmers should adopt dry irrigated crops in the place of paddy cultivation keeping in view the changing environmental conditions, Kongara Venkateswarlu, assistant director of agriculture department said here on Friday. Addressing the Kisan Mela organised by the agriculture department at Vallabhi village, the ADA said that the farmers should go for dry irrigated crops instead of paddy. He suggested to the farmers to reduce the use of fertilisers. Later, the ADA visited the chilli and green gram fields. Assistant director of animal husbandry Srinivasa Rao, ZPTC member Nageswara Rao, AO Vasavi Rani and others were present.
