The Telangana government has made it compulsory for the students appearing for SSC exams in the state to have an Aadhaar number.
The Telangana government has made it compulsory for the students appearing for SSC exams in the state to have an Aadhaar number. A circular has been sent to all the DEOs by the Education Department that without the Aadhaar numbers in ICR sheet, enrollment forms should not be accepted.
Parents in response are questioning the need for making Aadhaar compulsory for SSC appearing students as the Supreme Court had issued an order that Aadhaar is not compulsory for social welfare schemes.
