Venkaiah Naidu: Centre considering to increase AP, TS assembly seats

Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu on Thursday addressing the media stated that both the Telugu states - Andhra Pradesh and Telangana had proposed to increase the Assembly seats.
Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu on Thursday addressing the media stated that both the Telugu states - Andhra Pradesh and Telangana had proposed to increase the Assembly seats. While AP suggested the increase of seats be from 175 to 225 seats, Telangana wanted the assembly seats to be increased from 119 to 175 seats.
Venkaiah Naidu announced that the Central Government was looking into the proposal to increase the number of Assembly seats in both the states. The Minister said that the Centre would be taking a decision on the proposal after discussions with the Law Ministry on the issue.
