Hyderabad: President Pranab Mukherjee arrived here on Friday afternoon on a 14-day southern sojourn. Mukherjee was accorded warm welcome by Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao at the Hakimpet Indian Air Force Station.
The President was also greeted by Legislative Council Chairman K Swamy Goud, Assembly Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary, Deputy Chief Ministers Kadiyam Srihari and Mohammad Mahmood Ali and ministers and officials. Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma, DGP Anurag Sharma and other senior officials along with top officers of the armed forces were present.
