Hyderabad: The teacher aspirants have some good news. The District Selection Committee (DSC) will be held in the second week of June 2016, the results of which will be announced in the last week of June. A notification would be issued in the last week of April.

The government intends to complete the selection by second week of July. Similarly, a schedule for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) was also finalised. TET notification will be issued in the first week of March 2016 and examination will be held in second week of April.

The results for exam will be announced in the third week of April. The DSC will take about 75 days to complete and TET less than 60 days.

The schedules for the examinations were finalised in a meeting convened by Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Kadiyam Srihari with officials of the Directorate of School Education at Secretariat on Monday.

Kadiyam said a detailed notification would be issued after compiling total number of vacancies and approval from Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.“Vacancies have to be approved by the CM and a clearance from the finance department.

If those are cleared notification will be issued,” he said. When asked about the teacher vacancies, Kadiyam refused to divulge information stating that it requires finance department clearance. Regarding DSC during 1998-2012, he said legal department was on the job and a decision would be taken soon.
