Adilabad: The management of Singareni Collieries should immediately give appointments to the children of under hereditary quota, Durga Prasad, general secretary of Singareni Karmika Sangham (SIKASA), demanded here on Monday.

He said in a statement that Chief Minister Chandrashekar Rao during the agitation for the Telangana State said that the hereditary jobs would be given to the children of the workers.

However, two years after assuming power, he did not take any action in that direction. He said that the recognised union Telangana Boggu Gani Karmika Sangham did nothing for the welfare of the workers.

SIKASA working president Mantena Mallesh, Vice-president Tungapindi Anand, leaders Sailu, Gaddala Narayana and others also demanded.
