Ministers, MLAs to supervise TRS campaign for GHMC polls

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has deputed one Minister as in charge for 10 Wards to supervise TRS campaign in the forthcoming elections to GHMC.

While each Minister will look after 10 divisions, each MLA or MLC of TRS would be made in charge for five divisions, sources said. While the TRS is likely to have a friendly fight with MIM in the Old City areas, Chandrashekar Rao has directed the Ministers and legislators to focus on new city and peripheral areas.

According to sources, Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali will be in charge for GHMC Wards in Charminar, Yakutpura and Bahadurpura Assembly constituencies. Similarly, Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy will be in charge for Rajender Nagar and Serilingampally; Commercial Taxes Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav for Secunderabad Cantonment and Sanathnagar; Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy for Musheerabad, and Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao will be in charge for wards in Jubilee Hills, Khairtabad and Kukatpally constituencies. The Chief Minister himself will supervise the election campaign while he will be assisted by IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao and TRS Secretary General K Keshava Rao, sources said.
