Congress to field candidates from all 150 wards in GHMC polls
Congress leader Digvijaya Singh on Wednesday chaired a Coordination Committee meeting following which he stated that the party would field candidates from all the 150 wards in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections.
Congress leader Digvijaya Singh on Wednesday chaired a Coordination Committee meeting following which he stated that the party would field candidates from all the 150 wards in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections.
Addressing the media, Digvijaya Singh said that the names would be announced between January 14 and 16 while the Congress manifesto would be released on January 18. The Congress leader who launched the party’s election campaign said the focus would be more on the door-to-door campaign instead of the traditional campaigns via meetings and rallies in order to provide a personal contact to the candidates’ approach towards the concerns of the people.
Digvijaya Singh also said that there would be more youth participating in the fray and the social media would be utilized to their full potential.
